Sometimes you want a proper pub without hunting for a parking space in the city. The Old Crown is a historic thatched pub in Girton, just outside Cambridge and a few minutes from Girton College, with free on-site parking behind the pub. Here is what to expect when you visit.
Easy to get to, easy to park
There is free on-site parking behind the pub, and two EV charging ports. The entrance is step-free, and there is an accessible toilet. We are at 89 High Street, Girton, CB3 0QD, close to the A14 and a short trip from Histon, Impington, Oakington, Longstanton, Northstowe, Bar Hill, Dry Drayton, Madingley, Coton and Comberton. A thatched village pub
The Old Crown is claimed to be England's largest thatched pub, and it has been part of Girton village life for generations. The Evening Standard featured it as Country Pub of the Week; read the history of the building.
A garden, a play area and room for the dog
